Goodbye Braintree

I have never really had to say goodbye to anyone. Its always a see you later, or untill we meet again. But with this move I am having to learn to say goodbye. I have had to say farewell to friends I have made here in Braintree MA. I never thought I would make any, Braintree was always just a place to live while I finished school. But it grew on me, the people here grew on me.

       I started my job at Best Buy as a way to pay for this new thing in my life, rent. But as the months turned into years I began to create bonds with people, learn about them and care for them. Now that I am leaving I am realizing how much I depended on that stability of friendship, on seeing the same people year in and year out. I have also made friends through other routs, through school and involvement in community theater. I don't know that I will ever see some of these people again face to face.  I can only wish them the best of luck and hope our paths may cross again.


      I also have learned how to say goodbye to a place itself. I have had to say goodbye to our 1 bedroom apartment. It has been our home for over 4 years and it will always be our first home. Christmas, birthdays, home cooked meals, all of these memories are soaked into the walls. This is were Oscar and I learned we could make it as a family.  To say goodbye is hard, but to know we will never live within its walls again, is harder.

I say goodbye to Braintree with a heavy heart. I can only hope the thrill of a new adventure can help heal the sense of loss I have. Goodbye Braintree, I will miss you.

Visa Approved!

So after the heartbreak of having my visa rejected and the unbelievable relief to have the refusal overturned, I am exhausted! I am now in freak out mode about all I need to do to get ready for the 25th. I have to pack, call people, sell car and get cats ready. I am sooo excited but it is a little hard to believe it is actually happening. So fingers cross I get everything done on time...

Gettin' Legal

So I have just gotten my finger prints done and am sending off my Visa Documents. I am starting to get excited/nervous because the move is only 2 months away. I have started taking stock of what we don't need. Its a good cleansing process to get rid of unnecessary clutter. I can only hope that all of my visa stuff goes through with no problem... Well fingers crossed!

No I said Allo, But Close Enough.

Allo! This is going to be my Blog about my relocation to Exeter UK from the US. I am moving with my wonderful boyfriend Oscar to his home country to join his family and friends. I hope to use this blog to keep my family and friends in the US in the loop of what I am up to. I am not going to post too much at late because the date of the move is March 25th 2011. I will however post relevant info to move. I can't wait for my new life to begin!
